This fictional Kaiserreich Documentary series explores the alt-history timeline of the world’s most popular fan-built alt-history IP, ‘Kaiserreich.’ In the world of Kaiserreich, Germany and her Central Power allies win WW1, leading to a world very different from our own.
Even victory has a cost. In this documentary episode, Kaiserreich developers and KCC writers delve deeper into the plight of the Bulgarian Tsardom, expanding upon the Bulgaria chapter featured in their earlier documentary episode.
Bulgaria enters the interwar period bloated beyond recognition. While no other Central Power seized as much territory as Sofia has, this wanton expansion has taken a heavy toll on the country’s stability. Much of the newly acquired provinces have become multi-ethnic hotbeds of partisan activity. In the Bulgarian borderlands, Serbs, Romanians, Albanians and Greeks fight the Sofia government – and each other. Ongoing territorial instability has plunged Bulgaria into deep economic crisis and undermined her already fragile democratic institutions.
Rogue paramilitaries now dominate much of the expanded Tsardom. With fragile borders, a dissolving Ottoman ally to her south and resurgent Greeks, Serbs and Romanians across the border, Bulgaria is in a race against time to stabilize the country – or risk complete annihilation in a Fourth Balkan War.

I tried. I can’t watch fake history. You would have been better off explaining what actually happened. The narrative voice is on point though.
In my opinion these ethnic tension's wouldn't have existed,because all of those lands you mentioned in the video had a majority 80% bulgarian population at that time,and we we'r never this territory hungry state as portraied in our neighbour countries,we just wanted to unify with our own people,but sadly history is different.

Why Would Bulgaria be BLOATED? the nation barely expanded that much was Poland that had western Ukraine and western Belarus not bloated then? Wtf is this logic?
What tf are you talking about 85% of the nation would consist of Bulgarians including Macedonia former northern Greece Northern Dobruja and former Eastern Serbia the largest minority would be turks at 10% and they would only be a few Serbs at the western northern most parts
Bulgaria was betrayed by its allies, while those weaklings took over the cities which were already claimed by us in a deal, while we destroyed the filthy ottoman demons they were literrealy grabbing the loot which is crazy, our soldiers won the war but see even though there was a fkn agreement of course the greeks and serbs have to break it because thats what they do. Just wanna point out something, because you said " But The balkan lion started as just an ottoman pub". Bulgarian history is very rich, really underrated, actually. It streches way before the time of our ottoman subjugation and is a major superpower in europe in the 8-10 century.
Whoever had the idea to transition the characters saying “Kaiserreich” into the documentary theme was absolutely cooking!🔥🔥🔥 Shame the first few documentary episodes don’t have it, it adds so much the the intros.
It would be nice after this interwar documentary series ends a new series revisiting each country shows the “canon” lore of what the devs think the story would go. The players will still play and do what they want in the mod, but it would be nice to know what the canon history is.

The video has many wrong facts. 1. The author never mentioned the Ottoman empire's oppression over it's minorities and this fight for freedom, which was a big reason for the Russo-Turkish war.
2. There has not been bulgarian oppression over Serbia and anti-serbian laws. Even more, because of their mutual respect, there were no prisoners taken in the battles between them.
3. The desired lands from Bulgaria's neighbours were all populated with etnic Bulgarians contrary to the video's information. This is the reason for the country's mass militrarisation.
4. The decision to betray its allies after the First Balkan War was supported only by the tsar.
Please research controversial topics more before making a documentary or take notes from other videos.
Very well made and detailed video! One thing I would alter though – most of the territory gained after WW1 would be majority Bulgarian, as confirmed by most ethnographic maps at the time (not just Bulgarian ones). Unrest would rather be centered around those territories that are the least Bulgarian-populated, such as the Westernmost parts of Serbia for example.

Great video. What I'm wondering is what the story line will be if Bulgaria agree with the output of the first balkan war and there is no second balkan war. I think all the political instability begins because of that epic fail. Macedonia will be target for sure in the next campaign, but what I imagine is that Bulgaria will miss the WW1 and join Greece in the upcoming greeko-turkish war. The target will be Constantinople. Yep that will postpone the Macedonian question, but since Serbia will be weak after the WW1 VMRO may cause issues and with Bulgarian support may form the new Macedonia country with the same manner as Kosovo split from Serbia. Anyhow I believe in that timeline there will be more political stability and balance for Bulgaria. Maybe they will attempt to rejoin Macedonia before WW2 and that to be the catalizator for WW2…its just my theory, who knows 🙂

Thousands of Bulgarians were killed in the concentration camps, as well as attempts to assimilate the Bulgarians in Dobrudja and Macedonia – before and after the war.
